Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of the The Shelf website, our shops and kiosks, and our self-checkout and pre-order services (together, the "Services"). They are an agreement between you and The Shelf Enterprise (registration no. 202001012345 (1234567-X)) of No.3, Jalan BP 6/2, Bandar Bukit Puchong, 47100 Puchong, Selangors, Malaysia ("we", "us").

By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. If you sell through us as a vendor, the Vendor Terms apply as well.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order or create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for what is done with your account.

The products in our shops are supplied by independent makers. We take care to describe them accurately, but colours, sizes and finishes on a screen can differ from the real thing, and handmade items vary from piece to piece.

All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Prices include or exclude Sales and Service Tax as shown at the point of sale [confirm SST treatment]. Cash payments are rounded to the nearest 5 sen, as there is no 1 sen coin; card, FPX and GrabPay payments are charged the exact amount.

Stock is limited and shared between branches. We may correct an obvious pricing or listing error, and if we do so after you have placed an order we will offer you the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

An order is accepted when payment is confirmed by our payment provider, not when you tap a button. The total we charge is calculated by our system from the current price at the moment of payment; if it differs from what your screen showed, we will show you the correct total before charging you.

Self-checkout orders are for collection at the branch you choose during its opening hours. Orders not collected within [X] days may be cancelled and refunded, less any charges we are permitted to keep by law.

Online payments are processed by third-party providers (currently Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number. Payment status is confirmed by the provider, and your order is only marked paid once we receive that confirmation.

All goods sold are final and cannot be exchanged or returned. We do not accept returns or exchanges because you changed your mind, selected the wrong item, or no longer want the product.

This does not exclude any remedy that we must provide under applicable Malaysian law, including where goods fail a statutory consumer guarantee. If we cannot fulfil an order, any payment collected for the unfulfilled order will be refunded.

You agree not to:

• use the Services unlawfully, or to commit fraud;
• attempt to interfere with, probe or gain unauthorised access to our systems or other people's accounts;
• use automated tools to scrape the site or place orders in bulk;
• submit false, misleading or infringing information.

The The Shelf name, logo, website and its design are ours or our licensors'. Product names, images and descriptions belong to the relevant makers and are used with their permission. You may not copy or reuse them except for your own personal, non-commercial use.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, arising from your use of the Services, and our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as network or power failures.

How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and how we use cookies in our Cookie Notice. Both form part of these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its 'last updated' date, is the one that applies. Changes do not affect orders you have already placed.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim before the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia where it applies.
