1. What this notice covers
The Shelf uses cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, protect the site from abuse and remember your preferences. This notice lists what we use. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
2. What we use
- Sign-in session (cookie named __session): keeps you signed in for up to five days. Strictly necessary; set only when you sign in.
- Working branch (cookie named active_branch): remembers which branch a staff member is working in. Strictly necessary for staff; lasts up to a year.
- Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile): checks that sign-up and similar forms are being used by a person. Set only on those forms.
- Payment provider (Stripe): sets its own cookies on the payment step to process and secure your payment.
- Browser storage (localStorage): remembers interface preferences such as a collapsed sidebar, and stores nothing personal.
- Error monitoring (Sentry): records technical errors to help us fix faults. [Confirm what it stores.]
3. What we don't use
We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. [Confirm — if you add analytics or advertising tools, list them here and ask for consent first.]
4. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The necessary cookies above are needed for sign-in and for parts of the site to work, so blocking them will stop those features. Clearing them signs you out.
